Over the past eight years, the Festival has grown to become nationally noted for championing the next generation of musicians. In 2010 we were awarded the 2010 ASCAP Award for Adventurous Programming at the Chamber Music America conference in New York, and the Festival has garnered great press including from the Los Angeles Times which called the programming “magnificently enlightening” and KPBS which called the Festival “one of the area’s most innovative music showcases.”

In 2011, many foundations’ grant programs have been significantly cut back, so we are counting on our private donorspeople like you – for your help in making the Festival fiscally able to survive and grow in this difficult time. Together we can do it!

Your donation will support the following areas of the Festival’s activities:

  • Programming: The Festival’s hand-picked, adventurous programming in intimate settings has become an important part of Southern California’s cultural landscape.
  • Artists: The Festival features world-class master and emerging artists that travel from across the country to bring their music to Carlsbad.
  • Commissioning: This year the Festival has commissioned a major new work for the Calder Quartet from the fantastic young composer Jacob Cooper of New York, winner of our annual Composers Competition.
  • Education: During the week preceding the Festival, artists give highly popular and hugely inspiring performance-demonstrations in Carlsbad Schools.

Thank you very much for your support of the Carlsbad Music Festival!   Your donation is fully tax-deductible.

Donations received by September 2nd will be listed in the 2011 Festival program. Any donation received after that date will be included in the 2012 program
