Step 2 of 3: Submit Files

To facilitate the handling of application materials, we ask that you adhere to the formatting guidelines specified below. Once your application has been submitted, you will need to provide the $20 application fee.  We must receive both a ZIP file with all requested info AND an application fee for your materials to be considered.

SUBMISSION FORMAT: ZIP

Please compress all files (PDFs and MP3s) for the application into one .ZIP file. Please consult the following links if you are unsure of how to create a .ZIP file: Instructions for Mac or Instructions for PC.

The .ZIP filename should contain the composer’s name in the following format INCLUDING UNDERSCORE: LastName_FirstName.zip

INFO DOCUMENTS: PDF

The .ZIP file should contain PDF files with filenames and information as instructed below:

  • Bio & Resume/CV filename: LastName_bio.pdf
  • List of Works filename: LastName_listofworks.pdf
  • Composition Information Sheet filename: LastName_title_info.pdf
  • Info sheet should contain the following for each submitted piece: title, total duration, listing of movements (if more than one), movement durations.
  • Score filename: LastName_title_score  OR  LastName_title_score_movementNumber
  • Score Cover Sheet (OPTIONAL) filename: LastName_title_cover.pdf
  • Program Notes (OPTIONAL) filename: LastName_title_notes.pdf

RECORDINGS: MP3

  • Filename: LastName_title_recording OR LastName_title_recording_movementNumber
  • Include individual MP3 files for each movement.
  • Excerpts are acceptable to accommodate .ZIP submission file size limitations (50MB)
