Fronted by Robby Gira, who’s silky vocals and charging rhythm guitar weaves a sensuous blanket draped calmly over the rest of the players. His lyrics, though, tell no bedtime story. They are steeped in the whisky and blood of experiance that find a common resting place in us all.

Multi-instrumentalist, Kyle Merrit, on lead guitar, accordian and banjo, summons a perfect storm of swelling tones only to ebb in a crashing white wash of distortion and chaos then flow back out on gentler waters.

Trevor Mulvey, behind upright and electric bass, delivers an intricate backdrop to the cinema of sound acted out in front of it. Painting a brilliant tapestry on anything from rock, jazz, r&b, salsa, and funk… the scene changes are effortless.

All are grounded by seasoned drummer, Larry Doran, who can adapt to any style without sacrificing creativity or commendeering it. Using brushes, maracas and mallets he accents every point in such subtle formality, it’s almost overwhelming, then brings full balance to the frame by accenting the sultry main vocal with his own interpretation.
