End of the Year Fundraising

Posted

Dear Friends of the Carlsbad Music Festival,

At the Carlsbad Music Festival, we are working to bring new, creative and path-breaking musical experiences to Carlsbad each September. Thanks to you and our many supporters, we’ve been able to bring ten seasons of adventurous music to Carlsbad. Can you help us as we put our plans together for our 11th season?

We are in the midst of an end of the year fundraising campaign to raise $5,000. We still need to raise over $3000 to reach this goal. Can you help us meet our goal by making a tax-deductible donation to the Festival?

In 2014 we plan to bring you…

Two Village Music Walks! The first will celebrate the summer solstice on June 21st, 2014 and the second will be part of our September Festival. These Walks bring talented local and national musicians together for an evening of musical exploration in the Village of Carlsbad.

More Adventurous Music! At the 2013 Festival, we presented the California premiere of Roomful of Teeth, including a performance of member Caroline Shaw’s Pulitzer Prize winning composition, Partita. We also featured the first-ever duo performance by long-time collaborators percussionist Steven Schick and flutist and MacArthur genius Grant recipient Claire Chase and many other fantastic performances by local and nationally-acclaimed musicians. At the 2014 Festival, we plan to bring more new and innovative works to the streets, concert halls, coffee shops and outdoor spaces of Carlsbad!

And more Community Events! In 2013, our free performances included concerts by Sara and Sean Watkins, the Calder Quartet, Peter Sprague, the Mattson 2, Trouble in the Wind and many more. With your support, in 2014 we can bring more free events to the Village during the Festival weekend.

Help us to make all these plans a reality! Please join me in celebrating and supporting the Carlsbad Music Festival’s as we head into our 11th season of bringing adventurous music by the beach by making a donation today.

Cheers to the next 10 years!

Thank you,
